An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) is a health care professional trained in the clinical management of breastfeeding.
IBCLCs are certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners and adhere to a professional code of ethics. ILCA, the International Lactatation Consultant Association has a "Find a Lactation Consultant" directory on their website.

WIC is the Federal Supplemental
Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and
Children. Clients receive monthly vouchers
for nutritious foods, as well as nutrition
counseling, breastfeeding education and
support, and referrals to other community
agencies and organizations.
